HTTP Request Smuggling Flaw in libsoup Affects Red Hat Products
CVE-2026-1801
5.3MEDIUM
What is CVE-2026-1801?
An issue exists in libsoup, an HTTP client/server library, related to HTTP Request Smuggling due to non-RFC-compliant parsing in the soup_filter_input_stream_read_line() function. This vulnerability allows an attacker to send specially crafted chunked requests, which can be misinterpreted by libsoup due to accepting malformed chunk headers. As a result, the library may improperly parse multiple HTTP requests from a single network message, potentially leading to information exposure without authentication or user interaction.
