What is CVE-2026-18412?

OpenCart allows the installation of extensions via zip files with .ocmod.zip extensions. In version 4.2.0.0, the extension installer inadequately validates the extracted paths, enabling an attacker to leverage crafted malicious extensions containing traversal sequences (e.g., ../) to write files to unintended directories, such as the webroot. This can lead to severe security risks, including the potential deployment of PHP web shells.

Affected Version(s)
