What is CVE-2026-18726?

A flaw in Open-iSCSI allows a remote attacker on the same local network segment to induce a Denial of Service in the iscsiuio daemon. By sending a specially crafted ICMPv6 Router Advertisement with a zero-length option, the attacker can exploit an infinite loop, resulting in excessive CPU usage, making the daemon unresponsive and affecting overall system availability. Additionally, there is a potential for out-of-bounds reads with short IPv6 payloads, although no memory corruption or data exposure has been verified.
