Vulnerability in FreeIPA Affecting Authentication and Trust Relationships
CVE-2026-19550

4.3MEDIUM

What is CVE-2026-19550?

A security issue has been identified in FreeIPA, where the trust-fetch-domains command is improperly controlled, requiring only read-only permissions on the trust object instead of the necessary trust-administration permissions. This oversight enables authenticated, non-privileged users to initiate a privileged trust refresh with an Active Directory server, using supplied credentials. As a result, attackers could manipulate trusted-domain and ID-range identity data within the IPA LDAP directory, potentially compromising the integrity of the identities and trust relationships managed by FreeIPA.
