What is CVE-2026-19667?
A flaw in ISC's BIND DNS software allows an attacker controlling an authoritative server to produce a negative answer of exactly 65536 bytes. This results in a negative cache entry of 0 bytes. When this flawed entry is later accessed, the BIND process aborts, potentially leading to service disruptions. This issue affects a range of BIND versions, warranting immediate attention from users to apply necessary patches.
