What is CVE-2026-20005?
A vulnerability exists in Cisco's Snort 3 Detection Engine, allowing unauthenticated remote attackers to disrupt packet inspection by exploiting incomplete parsing of SSL handshake ingress packets. By sending specially crafted SSL handshake packets, an attacker can induce unexpected restarts of the Snort 3 Detection Engine, leading to a denial of service condition that affects network security and performance.
