What is CVE-2026-20049?
A vulnerability exists in the Galois/Counter Mode (GCM)-encrypted Internet Key Exchange version 2 (IKEv2) IPsec traffic processing of Cisco Secure Firewall ASA and FTD software. This vulnerability can be exploited by an authenticated remote attacker who sends crafted GCM-encrypted IPsec traffic to the affected device. Due to inadequate memory allocation, a successful exploitation may lead to an unexpected device reload, resulting in a denial of service condition. The attacker must have valid credentials to establish a VPN connection with the device to exploit this issue.
