What is CVE-2026-20065?
Cisco's Snort 3 Detection Engine is vulnerable due to an issue in the binder module initialization logic, which can be exploited by an unauthenticated remote attacker. By sending specific packets through existing connections monitored by Snort 3, an attacker can cause the engine to restart unexpectedly. This interruption can lead to a denial-of-service condition, affecting the system's ability to perform packet inspection effectively.
