What is CVE-2026-20321?

The Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC) contains a command injection vulnerability within its web-based management API. This flaw enables an authenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands as the root user. The vulnerability arises from inadequate input validation of user-controlled command arguments. By authenticating through the API and providing specially crafted inputs, an attacker could leverage this vulnerability to gain root-level access and execute commands on the underlying operating system of affected devices.
