What is CVE-2026-20348?

A vulnerability in ClamAV's XAR file format parser allows unauthenticated remote attackers to initiate a Denial of Service (DoS) condition. Due to improper boundary checks during the scanning of XAR files, an attacker can submit a specially crafted file, leading to potential memory corruption and the termination of the ClamAV scanning process. This could severely disrupt the affected software's functionality.
