TOCTOU Vulnerability in Grafana Affecting Data Sources
CVE-2026-21725
What is CVE-2026-21725?
A TOCTOU vulnerability in Grafana allows an attacker with admin rights to a data source to exploit a narrow time window. If they delete a data source and another user recreates it with the same UID, but without the attacker's admin access, the original attacker can re-delete the newly created data source within 30 seconds. This vulnerability requires very specific conditions to be met, including timely actions and previous admin access. If these conditions are not strictly followed, the re-deletion attack cannot occur, making it a highly controlled exploit scenario.
