What is CVE-2026-22611?

The AWS SDK for .NET allows developers to integrate with various Amazon Web Services, but certain versions (4.0.0 to before 4.0.3.3) may lead to improper routing of API calls due to incorrect configuration of the region input field. If an attacker has access to the SDK environment, they can set the region input to an invalid value, which could cause API calls to be directed to non-existent or unintended hosts. This poses a risk to the application’s security and functionality. A patch has been released in version 4.0.3.3 to address this vulnerability.
