What is CVE-2026-22785?

The orval tool, used for generating type-safe JavaScript clients from OpenAPI specifications, has a security flaw in its MCP server generation logic prior to version 7.18.0. This vulnerability stems from insufficient validation and escaping of the summary field within the OpenAPI specifications, allowing an attacker to escape the string literal. As a result, arbitrary code can be injected, leading to malfeasance in applications that utilize orval for client generation. Version 7.18.0 has rectified this issue.

Affected Version(s)
