What is CVE-2026-22859?

The FreeRDP software, which provides an implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol, contains a vulnerability related to its URBDRC client. Before version 3.20.1, this client fails to perform adequate bounds checking on MSUSB_INTERFACE_DESCRIPTOR values that are received from the server. This oversight allows these values to be used as indices within the libusb_udev_complete_msconfig_setup function, leading to potential out-of-bounds read vulnerabilities. The issue has been addressed in the release of version 3.20.1.
