What is CVE-2026-22865?

Gradle, a widely used build automation tool, exhibits a vulnerability in its native-platform tool which specifically impacts dependency resolution in versions prior to 9.3.0. When certain exceptions occur, they are not treated as fatal errors, allowing Gradle to bypass potentially compromised repositories. This enables an attacker controlling a disrupted repository to influence the build process and serve malicious artifacts from an alternative repository. Gradle has addressed this issue in version 9.3.0 by altering the error-handling behavior to prevent such vulnerabilities during the dependency resolution process.
