What is CVE-2026-23011?
A vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel's IP GRE handling function, ipgre_header(). This issue could lead to kernel crashes due to insufficient headroom allocation for socket buffers (SKBs) when dynamic adjustments to device configurations occur. The problem was initially detected by syzbot, revealing that when an skb was created with inadequate reserve space, it could result in a catastrophic kernel panic. This vulnerability demonstrates significant concerns regarding network stability and security within the Linux environment.
