What is CVE-2026-2303?

The mongo-go-driver repository includes CGo bindings for GSSAPI (Kerberos) authentication on Linux and macOS. Within this implementation, a vulnerability has been identified as a heap out-of-bounds read. This arises from assumptions regarding string termination in the GSSAPI standard. Specifically, the GSSAPI buffers do not guarantee null-termination or extra padding, potentially leading to a read operation that exceeds the bounds of the allocated heap buffer. Users are advised to assess their applications for exposure to this issue.
