Insecure File System Access in SICK Device via CROWN REST Interface
CVE-2026-2330
What is CVE-2026-2330?
An insecure direct object reference vulnerability exists in SICK devices utilizing the CROWN REST interface, allowing attackers to access restricted filesystem areas. Due to insufficient whitelist enforcement, certain internal directories intended solely for testing may be accessed without authentication. This could allow an attacker to upload a manipulated parameter file that activates after a device reboot, resulting in modifications to sensitive device settings, including critical network configurations and application parameters. Immediate action is recommended to mitigate potential risks.
