What is CVE-2026-23515?

The Signal K Server prior to version 1.5.0 contains a command injection vulnerability related to the set-system-time plugin. Authenticated users with write permissions can potentially execute arbitrary shell commands on the server. Additionally, the vulnerability can be exploited by unauthenticated users if security measures are disabled, due to improper handling of navigation.datetime values through WebSocket delta messages. This issue highlights the importance of secure coding practices and has been addressed in version 1.5.0.
