What is CVE-2026-23605?

GFI MailEssentials AI contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability that can be exploited through the Attachment Filtering rule creation process. An authenticated user can inject malicious HTML/JavaScript into the application via the ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$pv1$TXB_RuleName parameter on the attachment checking interface. This injected code is then stored and may execute within the context of a logged-in user, potentially compromising user data and security.
