What is CVE-2026-23610?

GFI MailEssentials AI versions prior to 22.4 are susceptible to a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability through the POP2Exchange configuration endpoint. The flaw exists when an authenticated user can inject malicious HTML/JavaScript into the POP3 server login field of the JSON "popServers" payload while accessing the /MailEssentials/pages/MailSecurity/POP2Exchange.aspx/Save endpoint. This injected script is stored and can be executed later in the management interface context, posing significant risks to users with administrative access.
