What is CVE-2026-23617?

GFI MailEssentials AI versions earlier than 22.4 are susceptible to a stored cross-site scripting flaw within the Spam Keyword Checking interface. An authenticated user could exploit this vulnerability by inserting malicious HTML or JavaScript into the input field, specifically the ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$pvGeneral$TXB_Condition parameter on the ASKeywordChecking.aspx page. This input is then saved and can be executed later when displayed in the management interface, posing a significant security risk to logged-in users.
