What is CVE-2026-23698?

Vtiger CRM versions up to 8.4.0 contain a vulnerability that permits authenticated users with administrative privileges to execute arbitrary PHP code remotely. This occurs via the ModuleManager's import feature, which allows crafted zip files to be uploaded without sufficient validation. Attackers can exploit this flaw to introduce malicious PHP scripts into the web root's modules/ directory, enabling direct HTTP access and the execution of these scripts. This vulnerability circumvents authentication and authorization mechanisms, effectively granting attackers persistent control over the system through the exploitation of the application’s routing process.

Affected Version(s)

Vtiger CRM 0 <= 8.4.0

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
