What is CVE-2026-23751?

Kofax Capture exposes a deprecated .NET Remoting HTTP channel on port 2424, accessible without authentication. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to utilize .NET Remoting techniques to manipulate various system objects. By leveraging these techniques, attackers may read arbitrary files, write malicious files, or exploit NTLMv2 authentication processes. Depending on the privileges of the service account and network setup, this can lead to credential disclosure, denial of service, potential remote code execution, or lateral movement within the network.

Affected Version(s)

Kofax Capture 6.0.0.0

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
