Input Validation Flaw in Zabbix Affects User Privileges
CVE-2026-23920
7.7HIGH
What is CVE-2026-23920?
A vulnerability in Zabbix arises from the input validation mechanism for host and event action script settings that can be manipulated by authenticated users. When regex validators are implemented in multiline mode with the use of anchors (^ and $), an attacker could potentially inject newlines into the input. This allows for a bypass of the intended input validation, leading to the risk of executing arbitrary shell commands.
