What is CVE-2026-23952?

ImageMagick, popular for editing and manipulating digital images, is susceptible to a vulnerability in the MSL (Magick Scripting Language) parser. This issue arises when processing tags before images are loaded in versions 14.10.1 and below, resulting in a NULL pointer dereference or an assertion failure. Consequently, the vulnerability can be exploited to conduct denial-of-service attacks. Users are urged to upgrade to version 14.10.2, which rectifies this flaw.
