What is CVE-2026-23958?

DataEase, an open-source data visualization tool, presents a significant security flaw in versions prior to 2.10.19. The vulnerability arises from the use of the MD5 hash of the user's password as the signing secret for JSON Web Tokens (JWT). This deterministic approach to secret derivation enables potential attackers to brute-force the administrator's password, especially through under-monitored API endpoints that handle JWT verification. Users are advised to upgrade to version 2.10.19 or later to mitigate the risk, as no alternative workarounds currently exist.
