What is CVE-2026-24030?

A vulnerability exists in DNSdist that allows attackers to exploit memory allocation during the processing of DNS over QUIC and DNS over HTTP/3 requests. This may lead to denial of service on the affected system. In environments with abundant memory, the typical behavior is for DNSdist to terminate the QUIC connection after encountering an exception. However, under certain conditions, the system may exhaust its memory resources, potentially causing critical processes to terminate unexpectedly.

Affected Version(s)

DNSdist 1.9.0 < 1.9.12

DNSdist 2.0.0 < 2.0.3
