What is CVE-2026-24034?

Horilla, an open-source Human Resource Management System (HRMS), is susceptible to a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in versions prior to 1.5.0. This issue arises during the profile photo update process, where the system fails to validate the extension and content-type of uploaded files. As a result, an attacker could potentially exploit this flaw to execute arbitrary scripts in the context of a user's session, compromising sensitive information and user security. Users are encouraged to upgrade to version 1.5.0 or later to mitigate this risk.
