What is CVE-2026-24422?
The phpMyFAQ open source FAQ application is vulnerable to information disclosure through its public API endpoints. In versions 4.0.16 and earlier, insufficient access controls allow sensitive user information, including email addresses and non-public content, to be improperly exposed. The OpenQuestionController::list() endpoint, by default, retrieves records marked as non-public due to the showAll=true parameter, leading to potential exploitation by attackers for phishing or unauthorized access to private information. Users are encouraged to update to version 4.0.17 or later to mitigate this risk.
