Sensitive Information Exposure in Shenzhen Tenda AC7 Router Firmware
CVE-2026-24427

6.8MEDIUM

What is CVE-2026-24427?

The Shenzhen Tenda AC7 router firmware has a significant vulnerability that allows for the exposure of sensitive information through unprotected web management responses. Specifically, administrative credentials, including the router and admin panel passwords, are transmitted in plaintext within the configuration response bodies. This significant oversight compromises the confidentiality of sensitive data. Additionally, the lack of proper Cache-Control directives in these responses enables web browsers to cache pages containing this sensitive information, putting users at risk of subsequent disclosures. Attackers with access to a victim's system or browser profile may exploit this vulnerability to gain unauthorized access to the router and potentially compromise network security.
