Authorization Flaw in Tenda W30E V2 Firmware by Shenzhen Tenda
CVE-2026-24428

8.7HIGH

What is CVE-2026-24428?

The firmware for the Tenda W30E V2, specifically versions up to V16.01.0.19(5037), suffers from a significant authorization weakness within the user management API. This flaw permits a low-privileged authenticated user to change the administrator password by directly submitting a specially crafted request to the backend endpoint, effectively bypassing the security measures that role-based restrictions are supposed to enforce. As a result, individuals with limited access can gain full administrative privileges, potentially leading to unauthorized control of the device and significant security risks.
