What is CVE-2026-24762?

RustFS, a distributed object storage system, has a significant vulnerability in versions alpha.13 to alpha.81 where it logs sensitive credential information—including access keys, secret keys, and session tokens—at the INFO level. This logging practice compromises security as these plaintext credentials may be accessible to both internal and external log consumers, potentially resulting in unauthorized access to sensitive data. A critical patch was released in version alpha.82 to address this issue.
