What is CVE-2026-25052?

n8n, an open-source workflow automation platform, has a vulnerability in its file access controls affecting versions prior to 1.123.18 and 2.5.0. This flaw enables authenticated users with permission to create or modify workflows to gain unauthorized access to sensitive files on the host system. Exploiting this vulnerability could lead to the extraction of crucial configuration data and user credentials, potentially resulting in a full account takeover for any user within the instance. This security issue has been addressed in the subsequent versions.
