Stored XSS Vulnerability in Craft Commerce by Craft CMS
CVE-2026-25483
What is CVE-2026-25483?
Craft Commerce, an ecommerce platform for Craft CMS, has a stored XSS vulnerability affecting versions from 4.0.0-RC1 to 4.10.0 and from 5.0.0 to 5.5.1. This flaw resides in the Order Status History Message, where the message rendering leverages the |md filter, allowing raw HTML input. This loophole enables attackers to execute malicious scripts if a user possesses database backup utility permissions, which do not necessitate an elevated session. Consequently, an attacker can potentially exfiltrate sensitive data such as user credentials, customer personally identifiable information (PII), order history, and 2FA recovery codes. The vulnerability has been addressed in versions 4.10.1 and 5.5.2.
