Content Management System Vulnerability in Craft by Pixel & Tonic
CVE-2026-25492
What is CVE-2026-25492?
Craft CMS suffers from a vulnerability that enables authenticated attackers to exploit the save_images_Asset GraphQL mutation. By manipulating domain names to resolve to internal IP addresses, attackers can bypass hostname validation, leading to unauthorized access of sensitive information. This includes the retrieval of AWS instance metadata credentials from the affected host, especially when non-image file types are incorrectly processed. This flaw is addressed in the updated versions 4.16.18 and 5.8.22.
