What is CVE-2026-25512?

Group-Office, a popular enterprise customer relationship management and groupware tool, is affected by a vulnerability that allows for remote code execution. This security flaw arises from improper handling of user input within the endpoint responsible for processing email attachments. Specifically, the vulnerability occurs when the user-controlled parameter, tmp_file, is directly concatenated into an exec() call. An authenticated attacker can exploit this by injecting shell metacharacters, enabling them to execute arbitrary commands on the server. This critical issue has been addressed in later versions, specifically 6.8.150, 25.0.82, and 26.0.5, which include the necessary patches to mitigate this risk.
