What is CVE-2026-25592?

An Arbitrary File Write vulnerability exists in Microsoft’s Semantic Kernel .NET SDK, specifically within the SessionsPythonPlugin, prior to version 1.70.0. This flaw allows possible unauthorized file writes which can lead to potential exploitation by malicious users. Users are advised to upgrade their SDK to version 1.70.0 or implement a Function Invocation Filter that checks the arguments for the DownloadFileAsync and UploadFileAsync methods, thereby ensuring that any localFilePath is on an allowlist to mitigate this risk.
