Heap Overflow Vulnerability in ImageMagick for Image Editing
CVE-2026-25794
8.2HIGH
What is CVE-2026-25794?
ImageMagick, a widely used open-source software for image manipulation, has a heap overflow vulnerability stemming from improper integer arithmetic in the WriteUHDRImage function. This flaw leads to an inadequate allocation of memory when processing large images, resulting in an out-of-bounds write that could crash the application or potentially allow for arbitrary code execution. Users are advised to upgrade to version 7.1.2-15 or higher to mitigate this security risk.
