What is CVE-2026-25890?

File Browser, a file management interface, is susceptible to authentication bypass due to improper URL handling. Before version 2.57.1, authenticated users could exploit this vulnerability by manipulating request URLs with multiple slashes (e.g., //private/). This could cause the file path authorization check to fail, while the underlying filesystem still resolves the intended path, allowing access to restricted files. Users are advised to update to version 2.57.1 or later to mitigate this risk.

Affected Version(s)

filebrowser < 2.57.2
