CVE-2026-25988
What is CVE-2026-25988?
ImageMagick, a popular open-source tool for image editing and manipulation, contains a vulnerability where the failure to update the stack index can result in memory leaks. Specifically, when an error occurs, an image may be stored incorrectly and not freed, leading to wasted resources. This issue affects versions of ImageMagick prior to 7.1.2-15 and 6.9.13-40, which have since been patched to eliminate the risk of these leaks. Users are encouraged to update to the latest versions to mitigate potential impacts.
