What is CVE-2026-26066?
ImageMagick, a widely-used open-source software for image manipulation, has a vulnerability that allows crafted profiles with invalid IPTC data to trigger an infinite loop during the processing of IPTCTEXT. This flaw exists in versions prior to 7.1.2-15 and 6.9.13-40. The vulnerability poses a risk of denial-of-service, as users can exploit this flaw to disrupt service by manipulating image data. Patches addressing this issue are included in the subsequent stable releases.
