Unprivileged Access Flaw in udisks Storage Management Daemon for Red Hat Products
CVE-2026-26104
5.5MEDIUM
What is CVE-2026-26104?
A vulnerability exists in the udisks storage management daemon that permits unprivileged users to access and back up LUKS encryption headers without proper authorization checks. This flaw arises due to a privileged D-Bus method that fails to enforce appropriate policy checks, allowing sensitive cryptographic metadata to be exposed. As a result, attackers can potentially read and manipulate this information, thereby undermining the security and confidentiality of encrypted storage volumes.
