Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in SPIP Affected by Malicious Iframe Tags
CVE-2026-26223
5.1MEDIUM
What is CVE-2026-26223?
A Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability was identified in SPIP versions prior to 4.4.8, enabling unauthorized script execution through malicious iframe tags in the private area. This flaw occurs because the application fails to properly sandbox or escape iframe content, creating an opportunity for attackers to inject harmful scripts. The introduction of a sandbox attribute for iframe tags in the latest update addresses this security concern, although the vulnerability is not countered by the SPIP security screen.
