What is CVE-2026-2645?

A logic flaw exists in the TLS 1.2 server state machine implementation in wolfSSL versions 5.8.2 and earlier. This flaw allows the server to erroneously accept the CertificateVerify message prior to receiving the ClientKeyExchange message. This misstep could lead to potential weaknesses in the handshake process, emphasizing the need for upgrades to version 5.8.4 or later where enhancements have been made to detect such issues during the handshake more effectively.
