What is CVE-2026-27152?
Discourse, an open-source discussion platform, has a vulnerability that allows users to bypass restrictions on direct messaging (DM) communication. Prior to the versions 2025.12.2, 2026.1.1, and 2026.2.0, users could add individuals to existing DM channels, even if those individuals had previously blocked, ignored, or muted them. This breach allows for unauthorized messaging access, challenging user privacy and security. The issue has been addressed in the aforementioned versions, with no known workarounds available.
