What is CVE-2026-27947?

Group-Office, an enterprise customer relationship management and groupware tool by Intermesh, is susceptible to an authenticated remote code execution vulnerability in its TNEF attachment processing mechanism. This issue arises when the system processes winmail.dat files, allowing attackers to execute arbitrary commands. Exploitation occurs due to the handling of attacker-controlled file names, which can be misinterpreted as command options, leading to severe security risks. Users are recommended to upgrade to the fixed versions 26.0.9, 25.0.87, or 6.8.154 to mitigate this issue.
