What is CVE-2026-29072?

An issue in Discourse allows unauthorized users to create functional policy acceptance widgets in their posts if certain conditions are met. This vulnerability affects versions prior to 2026.3.0-latest.1, 2026.2.1, and 2026.1.2, which have been patched. Users are advised to disable the discourse-policy plugin by modifying the policy_enabled site setting as an immediate workaround to enhance security.
