What is CVE-2026-30235?

OpenProject, an open-source web-based project management tool, exhibits a vulnerability due to inadequate validation in its Markdown rendering functionality, particularly regarding hyperlink management. This flaw may allow attackers to insert malicious hyperlinks that could lead to DOM clobbering. Such exploitation can result in significant disruptions, potentially crashing the application or rendering it unusable by replacing essential DOM functions with HTML elements. This flaw has been resolved in OpenProject version 17.2.0.
