What is CVE-2026-30886?

The New API Gateway by QuantumNous contains an Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) vulnerability in its video proxy endpoint. This flaw enables any authenticated user to access video content owned by other users, compromising user data privacy. The vulnerability arises from a critical oversight in the authorization checks, where the system fails to filter requests by user ownership for video content. As a result, the server inadvertently authenticates to upstream AI services using credentials from unrelated tasks, leading to unauthorized access. A fix has been implemented in version 0.11.4-alpha.2 to address this issue and ensure proper authorization checks are enforced.
